Day10 ：Reflection By Xin Hui and Jia Min: Yu Hua Stone Science museum

Day 10

Today, we visited the Yu Hua Stone Science museum. The Yu Hua Stone is very pretty and it is the local products. The guide told us about the history and how it came about. After that, we attended the class's so called LCE lesson. My buddy's class teacher talked about target setting because they will be having a national examination in June. Some of the students aim really high because they can make it. After that, they talked about graduation which is pretty sad because they are going to split into different schools after the national exams. If it was me, I will be very sad about it.

又是新的一天,离回新加坡的时间越来越近了。。。我特别喜欢到虹苑中学去,因为能和同伴(Buddy) 和班上的同学们在一起。今天是星期一,所以特别早起准备要去上学,但万万没想到老师竟然捉我去看医生,气死我了! 我原本还想利用最后的2,3天和班上的同学们一起过完我在南京的交流,但结果是到了医院 :( 虽然我知道老师是为我好,但是我真的好想去上学。到了医院后, 我竟然没想到中国医院的服务特别的快!不像新加坡,服务超慢的,甚至能等上半小时,但中国医院只需要等最多15分钟罢了! 我的膝盖包扎到有点难走路,感觉好像有人拉住我的膝盖一样。看完医生后,我回到学校。算老师对我蛮好,让我去上了一节课:D 上完后,没想到我又再次去医院,幸好我没什么事。因我再次去了医院, 才没到雨花石科普馆,亏我还蛮期待想到科普馆去的。。。不过算了,原本还有多一节的LCE,能和班在一起,我都没得上,很可惜! :( 不过,老师给了我们惊喜,都是因老师们的努力和劳力, 我们换了一间更好的酒店! 那个酒店的房间好大!也好干净!非常的舒服。我非常感谢老师们对我的照顾,关怀,还不眠不休的帮助我们,虽然他们自己都病倒了,但还是一直很关心我们! :D

Day 9: Reflection by Noel and Ethan: Yue Jiang Buiding / Site of Zheng He Ship /Nan Jing University /Nan Jing Normal University

Day 9

今天,我们去了阅江楼，我们好不容易才走上去。在上面,我们看到了美丽的风景。因为在山上,天气的温度低了很多,所以我觉得很冷。过后,我们到了5D电影院看了惊险的电影。5D鬼影片太恐怖了,加上了椅子的移动,影片吓到了我。我感到非常害怕因为那些可怕的鬼好像跳出荧幕似的。

最后我们到 郑和宝船遗址看到了古老的船。船里很大,有很多大炮。我感到非常惊讶,因为我从来没看过那么大的木船。

 今天，我们去了南京大学和南京师范大学。我看到大学时，我觉得南京的大学和新加坡的非常不同。南京的大学比新加坡的还要大，设备也比新加坡的还要多。在这方面，我很羡慕他们，因为他们的设施比新加坡的还好。不过，我们去的时候，我看到了有很多人在漫步过后，我们又去了夫子庙但是，这一次我们没有跟上次一样有那么多时间去逛街，我们这次只有一个小时去逛街，买我们需要或喜欢的东西。所以太这一个小时内，我们跑来跑去，一直去寻找我们所想买的东西，虽然我们只有一个小时买东西，我还是觉得我买了很多东西，也觉得我们能再次的去夫子庙是我们的福气，应该好好的珍惜，我认为我没有浪费这次的好机会。

Day8: Reflection by Lemuel and Jasline：Nan jing Massacre Hu Nan Road and Xuan Wu Lake Park

Day8

Today started off well, it was a " day off " for many of us. Thursday was a long day and many of us were looking forward to a learning journey with ourselves ( HIHS ) . Today was a fantastic day. Not only did we gained knowledge , freedom, and enjoyment, there was much pleasure and at the same time a sense of pity. We started our day at 9am, pretty late but it allowed us, students to have more rest, to be frank, we were all excited and re-energised by the long hours of rest. We went to the Nanjing Death Massacre , it was a quiet moment for all of us , most of us looked forward most to this activity , it bears a really huge history behind Nanjing. Just like how the Japanese had invaded Singapore , the Japanese treated the chinese here in nanjing with no respect , and kicked around like a ball. It was a pitiable journey and many of us took glances at corpses , although it may seem disturbing at first, but the thought that these people had died for nothing ran through our minds, it made us feel a sense of a guilt, though it was not our fault, though we were not their family members or akin to them, we could feel their pain, and the sufferings they had. Today's learning journey to the massacre was indeed a historical yet educating journey. I can confidently say the very main purpose of this twinning trip has been accomplished, not only have we gone through the classes , experienced their lifestyle, experienced their food , experienced the way of life here in Nanjing, but at the same time , we have also learnt the history of a 2500year old country. Nanjing is a very big country, and it bears a lot of history , thankfully we had many opportunities to learn more on it. Other than that we went on journeys to shop , a break from schools and classes . I still have to say that its a pity to see 300000 victims innocently killed , and women getting raped and taken off of their moral rights. It is an interesting history to be known and told of , something very different from singapore. In all i would like to say, that wars should be and can be avoided , no one should be innocently sacrificed for the sake of a war, treaties and many other ways can be used to avoid arguments and wars , i hope that in the future ahead , no more wars would be needed and governments to be able to settle it through treaties , i hope that in the coming 4days , we would have a pleasant journey and a safe flight back ! 

时光飞逝如电，时间就这样渐渐地过去。今天已经是第八天了。我们今天去了三个不同的地方。首先，我们去了南京大屠杀纪念馆。在那里，我学到了许许多多的历史。在里面时，我感到有些伤心，因为300000人无辜地死去。过后，我们去了狮子桥。在那里，我们逛了街和吃了大排档。我在大排档 吃得津津有味，因为那里的小吃很好吃。过后，我们就到玄武湖公园。那里的风景非常美而且空气也不错。虽然我没有机会坐船但我还是很高兴因为我却能散散步，享受新鲜空气。在走的时候，我没买什么但我学习到一样东西。那就是不要看到喜欢的东西就想买。当时间一到，我们就集合一起去吃晚餐了。我觉得今天非常好玩。总而言之，我非常期待明天的到来！:)

Day 7: Reflection by Samantha and Fanny : Class Outing

Day 7

Today was a really fun day. In the early morning, as we arrived in our respective classes, the teacher explained to us the details and information on the class outing and off we go! Before getting on the bus, we had to wait for an hour or so before being able to get on the bus. In the bus, my buddy and her fellow friends offered me several food to munch on. As we arrived at the designated place, my buddies were sharing several jokes which made me laugh my head off. We went to a few bridges , one in which shakes a lot which made our whole class panic. As we separated and settled down to rest, we had small picnic consisting of many foods. My buddies provided me with sandwiches, fried rice, chips, etc. I am very touched and grateful by their actions. Soon after, we proceeded with our journey. As we reached. Place where there were many games, my buddies won a cute bunny soft toy for me! Not only did they pay for my entertainment and leisure, making me not paying a single cent, they made me feel like i was a part of their class and made me really happy. On the way back to school, my buddies and i sat together and talked for the whole trip back to school. We shared facts about our own country as well as our interests. I really really like my current class and i would definitely miss them when this trip ends! ): 

今天，大家都一起去秋游。初二都到了“天生桥”，那里的风景非常美，大家都玩得非常开心。

而让我印象最深刻的是大家一起吃午餐的时候，大家都会把自己带来的东西/食物都分享给朋友们吃，他们一点都不自私，非常友善与大方，和他们相处真得很好玩。真希望还有机会和初二（2）一起在次再次秋游玩乐。

今天，我也知道了我同班同学在教室里和教室外的态度。这一天的时间也就不知不觉的结束了。

Day 6: Reflection by Brendon and Ting Ting: Full Day Lesson

Day6: 

Bright in the morning,me and my 19 other friends were crossing the road.As we were happily crossing,a car suddenly headed towards the last 5 people in the group and we were totally clueless about it. Only after Ms Liang shouted several times did we actually realize how close the car was before hitting us. After the incident,Ifelt very guilty as I made Ms Liang and the others felt worried for us. I now understand why people says the road is as dangerous as the tiger's den. Especially in Nanjing.

Today was also the day that we have a real full day lessons experience in Nanjing as we were given discount for the last 2 days of school,where we only studied until 11am.Today, the 20 of us studied all the way until 4pm,the only day where we can experience these. The experience was surprising and tired. We,the typical singaporeans only study until 2pm and are grumbling about our tiredness but on the other hand,the Nanjing students study all the way till 5-6pm and yet,they do not grumble as much as us. I feel a little embarrassed as compared to Nanjing student, I cannot tolerate such a long day of studying and I am one of the typical singaporeans who complain about how tired I am. I also feel that I am extremely lucky to study in Singapore as I do not have to study as long as Nanjing students and have a whole day's homework, just like Nanjing students. 

In conclusion, I think that Singapore students are very lucky and we should appreciate what we have.

Day 5: Reflection by Pearl and Xue Min：Sports Carnival

Day 5 

Everyone anticipated the annual sports event held by hong yuan middle school. We start off with cheers that accentuates our fighting spirit and ignited our uplifting spirits. Before the sports event could even commence officially, everyone were in high spirits. The principal announced the official opening of this sports event after various key personnel made their speech. We get to proceed to the various sports that we have sign up for beforehand. There were a gamut of sports such as running,standing board jump,high jumps,sit ups and more. The active participation of everyone makes this sports event's objectives effectuating and fulfilling. Out of many other sports, the running was the most exhilarating and competitive one. Each and everyone were competing with each other,mustering all their strength to surpass each other. They ran at lightning speed, fleeting as if they are peregrine falcons towards the finishing line. We could feel the wind gushing against us when they ran past us. It was astonishing, fascinating and overwhelming. Never had I ever saw any race so invigorating before we as spectators confer the participants with the moral support we know we could provide in times of distress, anchoring them simply by cheering them on during the competition. 

Many of the participants possesses indubitable qualities. They have the courage to strive against the odds and undying optimism however harsh implacably oppressive the circumstances might appear.  Even when they fall,  they do not just deem to give up easily but stood upon their foot and continue with what they have left undone. I think that we have a lot to learn from them that clinching victory was not all that matters, displaying good sportsmanship and giving your best was what it matters the most. Just as the saying goes,'a tower nine stories high starts with a single brick, a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.' if one is willing to take that one step in demonstrating this influential values that is out of the usual routine, it will catch the attention of others,empowering people to take on such values. Competition is not always about victorious but whether or not did we try our very best in the course we have taken. It is f paramount importance to challenge our limits and conquer ourselves. School is not only all about studying, not a stage of interminable monotony but also sporting activities to keep us fit and healthy. In conclusion, we have manage to learn lots of things from today's sports event and it imbue us with the right ethos which inspire us to uphold the 'never say die' philosophy. As I have saw it myself how they have pull it through despite overwhelming odds. The sports event end on a good note and I think this trip have been worthwhile and enjoyable. I believe that what we have learn would stand us in good stead in our future endeavors.  

今天是一年一度的校运会.今天天气特别冷 ，有许多同学都生病了。幸好他们都康复了！但是我们上午的比赛项目没有进行完。因为过了一半后， 就开始下细雨了。今天真是一个很倒霉的一天呢！虽然大家都在埋怨不用出去而且必须24小时穿外套好热，但是我知道老师们都是很关心我们的- 不想让我们生病。很感激Ms Liang， 她100%的用心照顾我们，好像是我们的妈妈！是HIHS 最棒的老师。大家都很想出去上街再去买东西。希望我们大家都可以继续健健康康地回去新加坡，平安地完成这个交流。

Day 4 reflection by Wen Yee and Isabella: Zhong Hua Gate and Confucius Temple Street

Day4

When I woke up today, I feel very excited for school! Yay! To be truthful, I thought that Hong Yuan School was very  fun and something to look forward to! I thought it was very scary and was reluctant to go to school. But I completely changed my thought.!

I think going to Hong Yuan Middle School is very fun as 初二 is a very interesting and humorous class! They can joke with teachers during appropriate times while they also can be serious during lesson times. I feel that I should learn their attitude, playing at an appropriate time,being serious in an appropriate time too. 

In conclusion, I feel very excited and look forward to go to school everyday.

    今天，我上了数学和物理课，全都用中文写所以我看得不太懂。但我很高兴老师过来问我们是否听得懂他们所说的。我看见学生们很积圾地回答老师的问题，这点是我们应该学的。不要等到老师点名而是主动举手回答。吃过午餐后，我们离开学校到了中华门。它已经历了六百多年凤雨沧桑。六百多年后还能完好无损地給全世界的人观看。

最后我们到了孔子庙，我学到了孔子在古代影响力很大，很聪明。我觉得我们应该向孔子学习，一直求上进，那学习和生活上都能成功。
